The nearest pub to Upper Woodlands is the Lion at West Pennard. It is approx. 1.5 miles from Upper Woodlands or a 25 minute walk. 

Nearest Supermarket

The nearest Supermarket is located 5 miles away in Glastonbury approx. 13 minute drive from the site. There are multiple supermarkets in Glastonbury including Morrisons and Tesco.

What’s included? What level of equipment do you supply in the houses?

We supply 2 toilet rolls per toilet, some washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, black bin bags, hand wash, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, sugar – but only in limited supply to get you started, you may need to bring some of the above with you if you have a large group.

Kitchen equipment consists of; pots & pans, frying pans, cooking trays, serving dishes, all plates, crockery, knives & forks, glasses (wine, tumblers & champagne) for the capacity of your chosen property, food processor, scales, jugs, cheese grater and much more. All the basics will be there, but if you require anything specialist you may need to bring this with you or check in advance.

Is the Sedum Spa private?

We allow each property on the Upper Woodlands site, a daily two hour exclusive use time slot, when the poolside area and pool will be just yours to use. These will need to be booked in ahead of your stay, and the facilities calendar on the website can be used to view when the facilities are vacant or in use.

Are towels and linen supplied?

Yes. Each person staying will have a bath towel, spa towel, and hand towel. All beds at the properties will be made up with fresh linen. Each guest will also have a robe to use for their visits to the Spa and around the property.

What are the bed layouts in each property?

Woodlands Farmhouse – 4 king rooms and 3 twin rooms (6 single beds).

The Cider Barn – 3 king rooms and 3 twin rooms (6 single beds)

Swallows Orchard – 2 king rooms and 1 twin room (2 single beds)

The Milking Parlour – 2 single bed settees 

Are towels/robes/flipflops provided at the Spa?

A spa towel, robe and pair of flipflops will be supplied at your property for you to use at the Spa. Please take these with you when use the facilities. Please ensure that the towels and robes are not removed from the premises at the end of your stay and left in the property for the housekeepers to launder.

How can we pay?

We ask for a 25% deposit to book each property and the remaining 75% balance is due 3 months before your stay.  The refundable security deposit is due 1 month before your stay.

Can we book online?

Yes you can and we prefer that you do. If you don’t know all the details of your group at the time of booking then please just put ‘N/A’ when prompted. You can also call the office to book over the phone or ask any questions. 

Do you accept single gender groups?

Yes we do. Each group is accepted on their own merits but we reserve the right to refuse any groups that we feel may use the house inappropriately or have the capacity to cause damage or impact on other groups. If we believe that the properties will be used for any purpose other than their normal intended use then a booking can be declined.

GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL FAQ’S

where is the woodlands retreats campsite?

Our campsite is just a couple of fields away from the festival (on the east side), a 15-20 minute walk from the festival entrance Gate C. Family Camping and East Parking sit between us and the festival gate. The views from this side of the festival as you walk in are quite something.

can we get our tickets from woodlands retreats?

Yes you can. We only supply accommodation and tickets together, and the tickets that we supply are hospitality tickets which give you access to areas of the festival that standard tickets don’t. 

do I have to be registered for tickets with the festival in order to get tickets from you?

No. Our ticket registration is done directly with the festival so it doesn’t matter if you have or haven’t already registered for tickets.

can I still stay with you if i have my own festival tickets already?

Yes by all means. All of our accommodation is available to you if you already have tickets and you would be very welcome to rent one of our tipis, yurts, or cadir tents.

when can we arrive and when do we have to leave?

Our campsite opens for business at 12 noon on Wednesday 26th June 2024 and closes at 12 noon Monday 1st July 2024.

can we get food and drink at woodlands retreats?

The easy answer is yes. Breakfast is included for all guests which will vary slightly each day, but will consist of eggs, sausages, bacon rolls, smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels, cereal, pastries, juices and much more. There will be cakes available along with unlimited complimentary tea, coffee and bottled water throughout your stay. There will also be cheese and biscuits available for you late at night if you feel a little peckish.

Our pay bar will be open throughout the day and into the evening serving a number of alcoholic delights; beers, wine, spirits and a few of our favourite local ciders. All at a reasonable price.

is it easy to get to the festival?

We are located a 15-20 minute walk from Pedestrian Gate C and the walk to the festival takes you through several fields and there is one short hill to negotiate immediately outside Gate C.

is woodlands retreats an official glastonbury festival campsite?

No. Like most of the offsite campsites, we are not an official partner of the Festival. We do liaise with the festival and have a ticket allocation for our clients but we, like many, are an independent campsite.
