Escape the hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in the tranquility of Upper Woodlands. Our expansive fields offer a serene haven where you can clear your mind and reconnect with the beauty of nature.

Follow the winding path that meanders through the open meadows and take in the panoramic views of rolling hills and the expansive sky that stretches above.

Located directly behind our retreat you will find gateways to the fields where we grow a variety of crops as part of our family farming enterprise. You will find grass margins around each of the fields which connect through to each other; please walk on these grass margins and not on the fields themselves, following the downloadable map below.

Dogs must be kept on leads when walking around the fields.

Please note that our neighbouring farmers have dairy cows; we would advise that you do not enter a field with cows in it even if there is a footpath running through it and never enter a field with mature cows and their young as they can be aggressive. As a general rule, if you come to a closed gate, you have reached the boundary of Upper Woodlands. There are also some beautiful country lanes and footpath routes to explore in the area but please remember that the roads are in constant use and due to their narrow width, vehicles can frequently be found in the middle. If you are feeling more adventurous, a hike to the summit of Glastonbury Tor is an absolute must.
